Thanks to a referral from a great client, I had the opportunity to re-work the logo and branding material for the Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service. There were various stages involved in the project:

  • simplifying the logo so it could be used across a range of online and offline media and remain clear at different sizes
  • a revised and standardised layout for letterheads, compliment slips and business cards
  • templates for the newsletter and magazine
  • production of a comprehensive branding guidelines booklet

The logo was quite complex as it includes a heraldic dragon, which is taken from the Wiltshire coat of arms. The entire logo was redrawn from scratch, including the dragon to ensure complete control over the uniformity of the lines. The redraw also allowed me to create a version of the logo that could be used at greatly reduced sizes.

The new designs have been implemented across the region and have been well received.
